Kind of a slow day yesterday, but let's get to it anyway.
It was the first of May, so I got a letter from the post office telling me I'd accrued 999,999 Bells in interest. Why they can't just spring for the extra 1 bell to make it an even million is beyond me... Walker pinged me nearby, and wanted to sell me a kiddie bookcase so he could have some Bells to spend. I agreed, because he's my friend.
My villagers sadly didn't want or need any favors done yesterday, but I spoke to them anyway. Punchy suggested that since nothing was coming up on the calendar soon, we could make up our own holiday to have. Which got me to thinking: why isn't there a May Day celebration in ACNL? It would be so cute to have like a maypole in the plaza you and your villagers could dance around! You could collect flowers and bring them to decorate the maypole or something...maybe you could even get a flowery hat or something from Isabelle to wear! Animal Crossing programmers, take note: WE NEED SOMETHING FOR MAY DAY!!!
Redd had his tent set up in the plaza today, so I dropped in to see if he had anything I needed. Indeed he did: the ancient statue. But as it turns out, the statue was fake, and the real painting he had today (the flowery painting) is already in my museum. As a matter of fact, I think it was the very first painting I got for my museum! xD

Sorry, Redd, I'm saving for when you actually have something I need...
As I said before, my villagers didn't want/need much done today, but I did find the odd job here and there. Rosie wanted me to fetch her a peach, so I headed to the nearest peach tree to grab her one. She was very happy to receive it, and gave me a sleek side table as thanks. Lolly wanted me to catch her a diving beetle, but since I remembered they were quite rare, I had to decline. Besides, I don't want her polluting her house with any more ugly bugs!
Speaking of bugs, there are a good few new bugs and fish for the month of May, like this guppy. If you haven't completed your museum, get out there and check them out!

At Re-Tail, turnips were 110 Bells apiece. Since it was the next-to-last day to sell them, and prices haven't been good at all this week, I jumped at the opportunity to make even a small profit. I think I'll be holding off on buying any turnips for a while, though...
And on my flower-breeding beach, I found a new pink carnation! What a nice way to start the month of May.

And that was pretty much all that happened yesterday. This may be the shortest blog post I've ever made, but tonight's will be longer, I promise. Bye for now!
