Animals Swapping Catchphrases

So earlier today Chevre asked me if her catchphrase "La baa", was boring. I couldn't be bother to think of a new one so I just said it wasn't. A while after that, Canberra asked me to talk to her, and said the EXACT same dialogue as Chevre, including the fact that her catchphrase was "La baa". I have never customized her catchphrase before, so it appears I have stumbled on to some sort of glitch. Has this happened to anyone else?

It's not a glitch, they do it all the time. They also pick up on pet names etc.

Yeap. I got one of my chicken villagers to say "cluckadoo" now all my villagers are cluckadooing.
