Anime /film doppelgangers

Another anime thread. The following guy reviews older things mostly. Brought up that Paprika and Inception are very similar.

Then he mentions Black Swan and Perfect Blue, then shows a pic of Joss Whedon and Outlaw Star. Can we think of any other examples of this? I will admit I haven't seen Inception, Black Swan, or the sci fi thing Buffy's director made.

I have seen both Black Swan and Perfect Blue (one of my favorite anime movies) and I can see the comparison between the two.

I've also seen Inception and Paprika, but it's been forever so I don't remember enough. I see where the basic concepts are similar, though.

I can't really think of any others off the top of my head except for Kimba the White Lion and The Lion King, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were many more. It's nearly impossible to see a truly original idea anymore.

Dragon Ball and Superman share a lot of similar elements. I'm sure there's more, but I can't remember any.

Of the movies you listed, I've only seen Perfect Blue and Paprika, so I don't know if they're similar to the movies they're being compared with bc I haven't seen them yet.

Like anything done by Tarantino and the ones he 'stole' from, especially the Kill Bill's, but also like Django Unchained and yeah most of em has stuff done better before.
