Anime

I like some Anime...that's what you mean right? I like to read (in shonen jump) DBZ, Yugioh, Naruto, One Piece, and I used to read Shaman King.

I like select anime, and very few mangas. I read the manga called "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind", by Hayao Miyazaki, and it was clearly breathtaking. It made me see some things in real life I haven't seen before... Spiritual things... You should read it.

As for anime, I probably only watch Hayao Miyazaki's. Spirited Away, Nausicaa, Castle in the Sky, Howl's Moving Castle, etc, etc.

My favorite would have to be Ghost in the shell.
The original movie the series is based on is practically art.
At least i thought so it just had a lot of meaning in it questioning what we really are.

Spirited Away was an awesome movie! Also, Princess Mononokay was awesome too!
That's right, Miyazaki films are simply amazing... Spirited Away and especially Howl's Moving Castle made me realize a couple of things in life... They really make you think.

But if you like manga, or are looking for an answer to a spiritual question in life, I guess, you should read the Nausicaa manga... There are 7 books, and there is the explanation of the Toxic Forest and basically human nature in the 5th one, my favorite one...

I only saw those two movies I mentioned. Well, I saw the Nausica one for like 5 mins, but it was really boring...

Nausicaa is considered more of a, err, epic... You have to see it all to appreciate. Just like, you can't just play a Metroid title for 5 minutes and have an opinion, or a Zelda game... But you can take a pick-up-and-play game, such as AC, and say your opinion within a couple of minutes.

Very true...maybe they'll show them again on Cartoon Network...(well, when they did, they took out Naruto for a month and showed one Miyazaki movie on Saturdays).

currently on cartoon network I am watching Inuyasha.
While it has gotten horribly repetative it does still have its moments.

Yeah, they had that Miyazaki Month... I appreciate that they did that. And then I noticed that there were movies of Miyazaki's colleage, Tahata, on Turner Classic Movies... There was Whisper of the Heart, and Pom-Poko, although they are very bad when compared to Miyazaki's movies... If watched alone, they can be somewhat enjoyable.

Miyazaki really is a living legend.

hey Full metal alchemist is on, that is also one i like, and I love the theme songs at the begining and end credits. from all of the seasons so far.

Aww... They showed Castle in the Sky, Nausicaa, and some others... All must-sees. Too bad you missed them.

:(

Ooooh, speaking of anime theme songs, I absolutely adore the Neon Genesis Evangelion "Fly Me To the Moon" version... Although I know it didn't come from the anime originally, the anime's instrumental version is, hands-down, the best I've heard. I could send you the MP3 over if you like.

well I suppose that would be good although I can't quite place what it is...

@ pk yeah it is the one where They visit a poor town that is overtaxed.

I love anime!
Like many other Americans, the DragonBall series is probably my favorite...especially DBZ. Tied in first, or maybe slightly in second, is Outlaw Star. This was on Toonami at midnight for a while, a few years back, but they took it off. It was only like 28 episodes long, but I loved it. I also used to like Pokemon and Digimon, and I do have to admint they both had some pretty in-depth and fun storylines. Although I like the mangas more than the animes, I do enjoy One Piece and Shaman King...can't forget about Yu-gi-oh, but I'm not a huge fan of it anymore. I had followed Inuyasha for a few months, but then I sort of stopped watching it. Thanks to Bul's reccommendation, I watched some of Miyazaki's movies, and loved those too.

Well DBZ was cool, but I feel they lost it.....and extended some fights too long....I mean i am certain i saw a episode where all goku did was go " AAAAHHHGAGAAAHHHWWWHAAGAHAGAHAAGAGAHHAGAGAHGAAAAAAWWWWAAAAAGHAHAHAHAAHAAAHA
"

soo yeah....
Cowboy bebop is also a good one but It isn't on Cartoon network at a resonable hour anymore....gotta love the bounty hunter guys though.
I also liked the zoids series but cancled....:(

I forgot about Zoids!
That was cool too...
And, I forgot about Yuyu Hakusho!
That was one of my favorites (I still like the manga...the anime isn't on anymore).
