Hey everyone!

So it's my boyfriend and I's two year anniversary next week and I've been thinking about what to get him. He's my first long term boyfriend so I'm not really savvy in anniversary gifts. Like, are homemade gifts appropriate anymore? What's generally the money amount?

I'm not even sure. Any advice would be appreciated!!

Get him a black '67 Chevy Impala.

You can't go wrong with that!

Seriously, anything from the heart, he will appreciate. ^_^

I agree with Jon... about a gift from the heart, not the Impala. ;)

If he likes sweets, bake a batch of cookies or brownies for him. I've done that in the past, and it always was a hit. Pretty much everyone likes Toll House cookies, and they're easy to make.

Ask him if he has a wishlist or what he's been eyeing lately. There's no shame in asking. And make your own in case he asks! ;)

A homemade gift would be sweet! There's no limit as to when you should stop gifting them as long as that's what makes you both happy. As for money, it all depends on your circumstances. It's never a bad idea to discuss it in advance.

Good luck, and Happy Anniversary! <3

I'm sure he'd love anything you made him, but look around and see if there's anything he's been wanting like a video game or something. It doesn't have to be anything big. Maybe even make him something and buy him something small as an extra thing to add on to the gift :)

Handmade gifts are always great. Of course there are the "traditional" anniversary gifts, that I sometimes loosely base what I do on them. 2nd year is traditionally "cotton" so for my second anniversary I bought my BF a whole outfit! Shoes, a jacket, some pants, a nice button up and a belt! Of course it depends on age, and interests, and how much money you have to spend, you don't have to go crazy, but I love buying people gifts so I go big or go home! XD

I think homemade gifts are more than acceptable, I love when my partner draws / makes things for me. One of the gifts my partner got me for Christmas / my birthday was a folder filled with colourings / drawings, and it made me so happy, homemade and personalised things mean so much to me personally. Things like slideshows, filled photo albums (nobody really uses photo albums anymore?), a scrapbook, art (drawn yourself or commissioned) are all lovely and thoughtful in my opinion.

Other than that, think of things he likes, has he mentioned something he really likes or wants? Even if it's something small, just knowing something that he wanted and listening can mean a lot!

I also think (although more expensive) experiences are a good idea, book tickets to a restaurant he loves, a weekend / day / night at a place he loves, tickets to a concert / show?

Either way, I'm sure he'll love anything you do!

I always draw my partner gifts and color him things all the time. Especially for our anniversaries. I don't have a real income and I put a lot of work into the stuff I make. Honestly, as long as you're with your partner that is more than enough of a gift imo

I know this is cheesy haha but for my anniversary with my bf, I took a shoe box, covered it in pretty scrapbook paper, and on the inside, I put a bunch of mushy stuff like photos of us, poems, collages, sweets, etc.
