its night time in my village right now and i noticed a bucket sitting in the residential area and i was like @_@ whats that doing there? so i walked around a bit and when i came back two of the villagers were playing with sparklers! it isnt a holiday but its kind of cool so i went into nooks to buy a few and play festive with the natives and nooks isnt selling sparklers, hes only selling the popper and the tootie horn item lol! i didnt give the villagers any sparklers, and because it isnt a holiday...where did they get them? and why are they partying tonight? in my game its in august...even the residential center doesnt have festive items. sooo ???

I believe it's based on similar festivals held around this time of year in Japan.theres a fireworks night? LOL! it isnt sunday in my town though...but ok...i guess they like fireworks then hahaha! awesome

ive actually noticed that! for the past week theyve been showing every available cool japanese outfit in the game, even the *my personal fav* ancient belted robes! theyve even had the common kimonos in there too lol

Villagers play with sparklers and fireworks light up the sky! You can even make custom fireworks displays using custom designs! Redd also shows up and you can win prizes! Also, you can collect super cute little "bopper" headbands from... Isabelle, I think? And all the villagers are really happy and excited! Definitely one of my events ☺
