Like many of us who love Animal Crossing, I have been waiting with great anticipation for the North American release of New Leaf. I have it pre-ordered. I bought a 3DS XL a few months ago, just for this game, really, even though I never had a handheld console before. I am getting familiar with the console by playing other games. So far on my 3DS XL I especially enjoy the Professor Layton games, Harvest Moon games, and Wild World.
I have played City Folk for an hour or more almost every day since November, 2008. I think it is very relaxing, peaceful, and stress-free; what a great game. Unlike many (most?), I have no desire to visit other towns or to have others visit mine; I like to play solo. I usually play until I have my mortgages paid off, and the bridge, fountain, and windmill/lighthouse built, and then I get bored.... so I destroy my town and start over! My idea of fun. I have had dozens of towns.
I have been lurking here for a while, and I am looking forward to joining in the discussions.
