When I planned my town theme for New Horizons, I really wanted to have a "main" player character with three alts who had different roles on the island, with differently decorated homes, etc. Obviously I could still do that just for my own interest, but without any knowledge of if/when the Dream Suite will return and what that will look like, would it add to my experience? I was really hoping that the secondary characters would still be active/present in some small way even when I wasn't playing that character—wandering near their house or even just standing inside. But with Nintendo's choice to sideline additional player characters in favor of the Resident Representative, that seems super unlikely. It feels a little weird to create "abandoned houses" when my goal was to make it feel more lively as a town, more inhabited with more going on. I'm not sure I want to walk around with my main character and just never run into any sign of those other players besides empty houses. Any input/advice from those with more than one character on their island?
