So I have been freaking out about Pokémon day I’m like a super Pokémon fan I love it but I’m dying from having to wait a week so who else is as excited as me?

I'm excited for it, always had a lot of love for the Pokemon games so looking forward to see what they've got planned, I'm hoping all the rumours that have been going round for a long time are right and we're getting the Diamond/Pearl remakes.

even though I really didn't like SW/SH and am tired of Nintendo disappointing me with this and other games, I am a sucker for pokemon games so I am super excited. I really hope they take into account the constructive criticism fans gave them about SW/SH and put a lot of effort into doing something special for dedicated and long time fans like myself. I am hoping for a sinnoh remake like everyone else, but I also wouldn't mind if their newest game was something else.

The only thing I want from DPP remakes is for contests to come back. PLEASE. Stuff like contests, the Pokéathlon, camping, etc. is what makes the game for me. Also character customization? I get it’s a remake but I love love love character customization in pretty much any game.

I'm sorta excited, but since I'm only expecting remake announcements, I'm not super hyped or anything. I love Sinnoh, but I still have my old Platinum game and I'm pretty satisfied with it, so I wasn't really craving a remake. I'd be more excited about a new region lol, but I know that's a couple of years away.

All everyone keeps talking about is remake news. It would be nice to see but either way I’m sure it’ll be a good day. Though the salt will rain if certain fans don’t get their remake.

Honestly the whole thing with SWSH has made me less excited about Pokemon news altogether, especially for mainline games. Though, I'm still pretty hopeful for Gen 4 remakes being decent and possibly some cool spin-offs being announced as well, so I'll be watching.

oh gosh just read rumors online saying its going to be a let's go sinnoh game... please god no....

I found Sword & Shield to be underwhelming, dislike the Dynamax mechanic, and am also someone who is/was annoyed by the culling of Pokémon. Combine that with the sort of thinking that apparently goes through their heads of "players are too busy nowadays and get too frustrated with challenge, so we didn't include the Battle Frontier in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire as a result", their insistence of constantly overhauling gimmicks and replacing them with something completely different, and the seeming general casualization of what was already an easy series and my attachment to the series has soured quite a bit.

As a result of the above, and because I'm not someone who gets hyped in advance, my expectations are low. The announcement probably is to do with Diamond & Pearl remakes, and Sinnoh as it currently exists in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum is one of my least favorite regions, but for years I've thought that I'd like to experience them remade to see if my opinion would be improved.

Whatever the case, for whatever next mainline installment we get, I'm going to just refrain from purchasing at launch and find out the general consensus to find out if it's something I want to bother with. If the rumors sleepydreepy heard were true and it was Let's Go style, I would definitely not purchase them and probably just quit the series outright until/unless they really wow us in the future. I'm teetering on the edge of just dropping the series as it is, so yeah.

But hey, don't count your chickens before they hatch, I'm keeping an open mind for now and we'll see what they do.

I can't help but being hyped because Pearl was the first Pokémon game I ever played and I loved it so much, and seeing so many people hoping for a remake makes me want to hope for it too! But seeing how disappointed I was with SwSh I think it's better for me to keep my hopes down... if we do get some infos regarding a remake then great, if we don't, too bad I guess!
