Anyone else get far too attached to the animals on their island? I currently have Hazel in my campsite, want her to move onto my island but I have 10 already. Trying to chose who she could ask to leave has led me to a blank because I love the ones I already have 🙈😂 think I need help 😂😂

I used to be attached to villagers back when I didn't have amiibo cards, but since I have them I don't worry as much. I understand the feeling though and trying to hold to a villager that you work so hard to find is really stressful.

I think I will get Hazel's amiibo and then when someone moves out I can invite her to move in.

I feel you, I definitely get too attached!

I still have 3/5 of my starter villagers! I still have my original two starters, Agnes and Louie, and I also still have Rhonda from the next three you get. 😊💖

I let Tabby and Rodeo go from my original five, even though I think they're both adorable, and I love little Tabby.

There are a few villagers I'd like to invite (I have amiibo cards, but I miss island hopping for villagers, so I want to do that first), so I've been trying to allow a villager to leave! When the last villager asked to leave, I meant to click yes, but accidentally clicked "no, don't go", and then I felt relieved. 😅

I know, right? I really want to kick Leopold off my island, but I just don't have the heart to watch him move out....

Yes, I really want Poppy back or a peppy villager like Nibbles, Bonbon, Carmen, or Agent S on my island.
I was thinking about replacing Cally or Ione, but I can't. 😭
(even though I got rid of Poppy for Ione...)

Hazel was my starter and I have her and Buck still on my island. The original two that started the journey with me. It helps that they were some of the mainstays on my NL island. So I couldn't kick them out, even if they have starter homes.

Yea I get attached to my villagers. Even those I have Amiibo cards for. I really want to have different villagers on my island but don’t want to let my current villagers leave.

I’m way too attached to my ten current villagers, who happen to be my dream villagers. It’s a good thing they aren’t going anywhere.

I think opening New Horizons made me realize that I'm this way about my New Leaf villagers. It made me realize that even though I like the villagers I have now, I would gladly transfer my OG's from New Leaf to New Horizons at the earliest opportunity if I could.

(I know I could theoretically do this with Amiibo cards, but I'm not spending money on that!!)

I always think there's a villager that I'll never let go of but eventually I do. Right now I think I will be keeping Roswell and Ione forever but who knows.

In New Leaf it was a different story though, I'd have kept Dobie forever!! Not sure why that's changed.

I try not to get attached but sadly when I try not to put too much work into getting good villagers I end up getting really awesome ones that I have no heart to remove them even though I wasn’t going for them.

Now there is always a few that I will never get rid of.

Definitely!

I was going to let Claude leave at one stage, but he's still here. Same story with Julian and Judy. I still wish we could have up to 15 villagers like in the GC game, especially since I want Shino on my island so badly (she'd fit in well) but I just don't have the space left for her to stay.

That happened to Puddles! She was an original islander and just warmed up to me so fast. Fast forward years later and she's still there and I'm not letting her go anywhere.

haha, i feel you! i tend to know which villagers will be permanent and which ones won’t after having them for a while, but i get attached to them all the same and feel ridiculously sad when they move out lol. hhp has helped with this a bit as i can just build them a house over there and see them whenever i want, but it’s still not the same as actually having them on my island. being limited to only 10 villagers is painful. 😩😅

Yes. My original plan was to rotate through all the possible residents until I got all the photos (and posters).

But then, I just couldn't. I loved my original 10, they are the ones that lived with me the start of my adventure and I just can't say goodbye. The community we have created together is special and I can't break it apart.

Yeah I've had the same villagers for well over a year and a half. I never let them go when they ask, especially not Octavian, he's one I didn't purposely move in, he just showed up, but now he's never allowed to leave because he's my favorite and I would miss him

I had Mallary just show up in mine, it was crazy because I had her in New Leaf and was one of my favourites, now she's in my New Horizons, she ain't leaving lol.
