i know there's a pandemic and it's slowly driving people nuts, but right now the only way you can get stuff (that aren't from the grocery store) is online. yes i know, there are more important things that's why only stores that sell necessities are the only ones allowed to operate or be open. we wouldn't be in this situation if countries aren't on lockdown, i'm trying to have patience over this whole situation but being stuck at home just doesn't help. is anyone experiencing crazy shipment delays for like almost a month?

i always used to wish for a vacation, to just stay home but i guess it's be careful what you wish for because you just might get it huh?

God yes. I had something ordered last month and it's been delayed to end of this month. I ordered fabric masks and they were also delayed till May and luckily my mom sewed some for us to wear when we go outside. Also feel bad for her because she ordered hair dye, and that has been delayed forever.

It's frustrating but I also don't want to be selfish but I just can't help it.

Yeah. I had one that is on its way from the US that should arrive soon, and then some other orders they can hardly get out because that one mail where those person live seem to be randomly shut(also US)...Thought mail were important and while you shouldn't order too much to pressure the system I'm kinda surprised they shut down??

A lot of US retailers are prioritizing essential items rn, so that might be part of why your stuff has been delayed. I’m not sure why you’re having trouble otherwise though, afaik none of the major mailing services have shut down. Could be just their local branch of USPS/UPS/whatever had had to shut down for whatever reason, but idk.

Yes. Right before this whole thing blew up, my husband started experiencing severe eye strain due to blue light exposure. We ordered him some glasses from a company based in the US. He gets the shipping confirmation and tracking info a week later only to find out his glasses are coming from China?!? It's now been over a month since we placed the order and we finally, finally got confirmation that the package landed in the US. It still hasn't been processed and accepted and it still has to travel all the way across the country.

It's extremely frustrating because while they're not 'essential' he is in so much pain and needs them badly. I just hope they arrive soon and actually help.

Yeah, I've seen warnings of delays everywhere so I don't even bother ordering anything online right now.

Of the few things that I've ordered since the quarantine went into effect, amazon seems to be the biggest culprit with shipping delays that I could tell. I understand they are prioritizing essential items so you kind of have to expect a delay at this point. I just wish they knew how 'essential' persona 5 royal was for me. (I joke, I joke ^__^)

Surprisingly I haven't had any issues yet. I ordered my mom a birthday present a few weeks ago and it actually came earlier than it was supposed to. I do think all the delays people are experiencing are due to the fact that most shipping companies are prioritizing essential items. It sucks but we just have to be patient.

Yeah, of course they have to prioritize so I'll probably ask the latter soon unless I hear from them. And yeah it's USPS.

And yeah I don't mind it being delayed per se as long as it actually get sent out, or they should write they don't ship internationally and that we have to wait etc. so yeah.

Yeah communication is always important but it’s super critical in times like these. My mom bought some handmade masks online and the seller actually wound up sending a message to her buyers saying she’d bit off more than she could chew and that she wasn’t sure she’d get the masks made in a timely manner. Hopefully you get whatever it is soon! It always sucks to have a package in limbo like that.

I haven't ordered anything because I know the things I want aren't really super necessary things, so I'm likely to wait longer for them. I can relate with you, though, OP, on wanting a vacation but then ending up in lockdown. I'm literally in the same boat there. Going through every day of work just waiting for that break, but I definitely got more than I bargained for!

Indeed. I mean if they don't reply soon about that wonky USPS thing(I assume since most US sellers use that internationally) I'll bother them again. I kinda wish people with actual issues shipping would put some notice up since I know how annoying the whole process is being online shopping a lot and from US shops sending outside the US. At least my first package left some EU airport so it should arrive soon.

All of this is making me realize just how spoiled we are lol. I had somthing ship from The Netherlands nearly a month ago and 10 days ago it finally said that it was heading for the US and I haven't gotten any updates since. I'm trying to be patient and understanding but I don't deal with change very well so all of this is really stressing me out.

My empanada baby was supposed to arrive today. It said she was in Chicago yesterday morning so she should’ve been here by now but then they sent her to New Jersey??

I ordered some books back in early February, before the SD rule went into effect in my state. As of today, 4 of those books still haven't arrived.
I know and understand the reasoning why, but I'm still bummed :'( They're each installments I'm missing from different series, and I can't progress through them without these orders (unless I cave in and try to force the internet to cooperate with my searching, which is already a no go, because just about NOTHING is loading).

I would take a Razor Scooter to the ankle for this to all be over for everyone. I miss going places. :(
