im about 40 hours into nl and I kind of feel the conversations with my critters are kind of grindy.(there are some cute or funny moments)
I just end up talking to them 3-5 times to see if they have anything I can do then I rinse and repeat with all my villagers.which got me thinking of the gc ac were you had chat options, like have any errands greetings or just to ask whats going on with them.which I feel adds more too the game cause I have the option too care instead of be forced too just too see if they need me to buy something.
so what do you guys think?did you miss the system?also why was it removed from the gc version moving on thru the series?

Wild World was my first AC game so I wasn't use to asking for an errand. I just prefer them bringing it up on their own. I'm not sure why they removed the feature though.

They removed a lot of things since the Gamecube version: balls, acres, silly viking helmets. As for why they got rid of specifically asking for errands, I couldn't say, but I suppose it might be so you see your villagers more like actual people rather than quest machines.

Can't you get the silly viking hats by wearing a pattern?

I'm not to bother by the lack of options, but it seems like they don't offer up much anymore unless one of the emotions pops above them. :/
