Anyone played valkyria chronicles?

I've picked it up a while ago and man i've fallen in love with it. I'd recommend to anyone who like strategic games like fire emblem. It's so underrated.

Glad you're enjoying it! I've played 1 and 2, and own 4 but haven't gotten around to playing it. They're great games, I love the mix of real-time with turn-based combat even if it can be really stressful sometimes! That desert map with all the trenches and tanks and Selvaria still gives me nightmares lol. Though it seems to be an unpopular opinion, I actually preferred 2 over 1 (mainly because I liked the cast and I really enjoyed the branching class progression). Wish 3 had gotten localized into English because it looks really good, too.

Oh my yes that's an insane difficulty spike in that level, not only is the level long but the boss tank can just decide at any moment to give you a game over if he shoots at your tank and that Valkyrie who can move across the whole map and snipe any unit with a death ray, fun times

I hope they release 2,3 on the switch. I've got 1 and 4. Apparently 4 takes place in the same time setting as the first one but from a different squad's perspective. The game looks fantastic though!

I think I briefly played either one on Steam way, way back but kinda gave up because the controlling was really bad. I can imagine it's fun though, I love those kind of games.

One of my all-time favourites, I've completed it four times. Valkyria Chronicles 4 is also excellent.

I played the first one and recently 4, I love them and consider it one of my favourite all time games, such a gem and joy to play. I love the battle system and the strategy, my personal goal is to never leave any of my soldiers behind so I will retry missions if one of them dies. I love the story, the art, the music and I go back to the original periodically from time to time for another play through.

Never played fire emblem but heard many great things about it, looking to getting it the next time around once I've saved enough cash to move out. Also looking forward to the animal crossing edition switch, I have a switch lite so I never quite got the full experience of two player switch with family etc unless I was using a friends original switch.

I recently played the first one and oh boy! what an adventure, it was awesome, absolutely amazing game and the battle system is super fun. A lot like fire emblem which i recently purchased and started playing too. Whats your favourite one? for me its the first because i've yet to play any other versions, but I still have a psp for the second one so it's all about getting what I need and firing it up!
