Is anyone using an Animal Crossing companion app that allows them to track everything they do on their island?

For me, I bought this cute little app called "ACNH: Travel Guide". I found it just before yesterday and it literally gives me the ability to track almost every aspect of the game in order to make sure I get all my stuff done during each day. Unfortunately it costs money, but I am sure there are free options out there.

Anyone else using something like that?

I’m not using anything. I use the nintendo app to check what items I have in my catalogue when I’m too lazy to go in the game when I’m ordering from the site and I use it to chat. Aside from that app, and VillagerDB (a site to keep track of the items and clothes I have catalogued and the ones I still need), I use nothing.

I keep a word processing document especially for New Horizons that's full of notes on things that I've done and things I want to do and things that I'm working on. But nothing fancy like an app, just me writing things down so I don't forget them. ^o^;>

Yes, I use "ACNH.Guide" by Gene Sy, it's so useful. I mostly just use it for the collections, but it also has a turnip calculator, hybrid flower guide, info of every villager and showcases dream addresses as well.

yep, I use ACNH life, mostly just to keep track of bugs/fish/creatures etc (the museum stuff basically). it also has a DIY section, plus a list of all villagers and a bunch of other stuff but i don't use those features as much because i'm not as bothered about keeping track of that stuff to the same degree

How I did it was when I got the game I caught all the fish and bugs avaliable that month, and each month googled what was new that month and got them.

I did try and app but I found it more annoying having to log stuff than anything else.
And other than things to catch, I'm not sure what else there is to track.

I’m not using any app. I just play the game regularly. It’s more stress-free that way. I’m not worried about completing my catalog, the museum, or anything.

The only thing I'm tracking is the weather via MeteoNook, although it's not always 100% accurate it does come in handy for tracking upcoming meteor showers. Other than that I like to play the game casually when it comes to catching bugs and fish as well as terraforming my island for when I'm feeling creative.

I use Travel Guide too! I purchased it when it first came out and the developer is awesome. They update as much as they can and work hard to make it look nice and run well. I love that it integrates with Turnip Prophet and other online apps. I mostly use it nowadays for seeing which items are best to give my villagers and I access MeteoNook through it. It really is a 10/10 app and worth the small price.

I use ACNH Life as well, mainly to keep track of my DIY list and my Critterpedia. I mainly use their "available now" feature for fish/bugs/etc., because it's really useful if you want to see what's available for you to catch so you don't end up wasting time on something that isn't even catchable yet.

Nah, I just keep an eye out as I go along.

When I got to the last artworks, I looked up on Villagerdb to see which were the last ones I needed. For DIYs, I also used Villagerdb. For fish and the like, I checked with Nookpedia to see which critters I needed to get. I don't use the Turnips too much (I still feel like they spoil the bell economy now that online is a thing) and I mostly play at night anyway, so I usually know when there's a meteor shower.

I do, however, have a little Notepad file to keep track of who's been found on Mystery Islands and the Campsite.

I'm using a similar app, but mainly to search up villagers/ their houses and to calculate turnip prices occasionally. I was too lazy to manually add every single item/diy I have accumulated and every critter I caught.

Ooh, what is Turnip Prophet if you don’t mind me asking?

I've never heard of it, but going off its name...
Turnip prices have patterns such as increasing, decreasing, and random.

If you log them each day both in the am and pm, some apps can tell you if you should sell them or hold off, as they can predict the pattern

Thus a turnip prophet

I did not know this. Might Try my hand at some turnip selling now.

I used to use the travel guide and a few other apps to track my diys and island progress during the early game. I really liked doing that back then. Then life got too hectic and I found it took too much time to go back and forth tracking everything. I stopped doing that during the summer last year. Part of me wants to get back into it, the other part of me feels like I won't keep up with it again down the line so I shouldn't try now.

The closest thing to this is in the notes app of my phone I have every statue + painting I already have listed so I stop accidentally buying stuff I already have from Redd from the rare chance he shows up

I also use ACNH Life. I've been using it since shortly after NH released. It's been extremely helpful for me since I'm a completionist.

not really. i use villagerdb to track my catalog, diys, items i still need, etc as well as a journal to keep track of my accomplishments but that’s about it lol. i also use the notes app on my phone to keep note of any ideas that i come up with or important information.
