if i wanted to use one of these urns as a centerpiece for a park, would i have to put it on a pedestal because of the size? i looked online for them and theyre the size of the scorpio lamp, and those ive had to put on pedestals just to up their size...so will the urns work without that pedestal or....

I mean, they are 1 X 1 for size, but they're taller than a Scorpio Lamp (or, at least, feel like it). I think they're a little shorter than your character? I personally think it could work as a centerpiece, though if you want something grander, they could work maybe put in corners or something. Maybe corners with a fountain as a centerpiece? Just to go all out on the water theme!
well, i used the cancer pedestals with the scorpio lamps on top of them as corner pieces for the fountain already...its the entrance to my villager area so i cant use another fountain; plus ive used the shell fountains too, to accent the shopping areas so im about fountained up to the eyeballs on my island LOL! it is an excellent idea though, the urns might look nicer than the scorpio lamps so i will try that as well! thanks! 
You're right. I tried to put them on the Turkey Day pedestals and was so sad.
It would have looked so nice!My thoughts are that they're too small to be a centerpiece, but they're also apparently too big to go on a table.

Ah, okay. Yah, I think they could definitely work as a centerpiece in place of fountains, because they are definitely bigger than the lamps. Maybe you could do a little pond or some pathing around it if it still feels too small? Also, IDK if you're looking for more suggestions, but I bet some wedding arches would look FABULOUS as entrances to the park! thats another great idea! ive tried using them as entrances in a few places but they just didnt work out right yet. my problem is that my museum isnt full so i cant just do what i want to my island until thats taken care of.
i think what im going to do in one area is use those arches along with the bell that goes with it, and possibly the wedding dining items too. i bought a Ton of the benches as well, and i love how they look but theyre just not quite appropriate for what im doing as of yet. maybe that wedding bell might look nice in that park area, i will try that too...but the statue of michael *wheres a fig leaf when you need one lol* is also in the park and that thing is massive lol! so i needed a smaller item to go in front of it *at a distance* so the statue size will be a bit smaller looking. did that make sense?
