Are the D.I.Y from amiibo campers random?

I’ve noticed the smug campers request a lot of the ironwood items and that lazy characters request a lot of cardboard stuff. oh and crankies request a lot of log items.

I don’t have Gigis card to test but I’ve tried Julian. I don’t have my Switch out so I’m going by memory, but I think he requested a golden candlestick, wooden double bed and acoustic guitar (might’ve been called folk guitar....)

Oh wow so maybe it is pre-set then. Unless it was a coincidence. Or it could be that each personality have a set list of multiple diys and it chooses 3 random ones from that list? Just a theory

I've had other personalities request the garden rock too so I don't think that recipe is exclusive to snooties, but I do think is interesting that our snooty DIYs got so much in common.

My cranky amiibo requested wooden things like log benches and sleighs, normal amiibo requested wooden block furniture, and jock amiibo requested workout gear like barbells and kettlebells. 2/3 of the DIYs they asked for I already owned, so it's likely the game has a predetermined list of DIYs each personality will ask for with a bias to ones you already own.

I don't have a lot of these items so I wonder if they ask for things that the game knows you can craft or if it's random.
It would kind of suck to invite someone in only to find out you can't craft a single thing.

If you don't have the DIY, they will give you the recipe.
