I am not a big fan of being able to dig up whole trees then replant them. I think it takes away from some of the realitcicly of Animal Crossing Games. I have always loved how things in the game such as trees grow each day and new things happen, and I think replanting new trees makes the game less realstic and Animal Crossingish

I also am not a big fan of the new flowers. I really dislike the shape of them and how they look. Once again I saw they dont look very realstic and do not look like Animal Crossing flowers. I also do not like how when you pick them, it does not pick up the whole plant but just the top flower part. I really hope their is an option to eitehr pick just the top flower part or the whole flower. Also is there going to be more than just one variety of flower (I have only seen one so far, so correct me if I am wrong).

While there are a few things I dislike about the animal crossing plants and trees there are also some things I like about them. I love how the trees leaves sway in the wind, and I think I like how the trees are more fuller with leaves now. Also, I really love the enhanced graphics and different color contrasts in the trees leaves.

Another thing I like is the new plants. As seen in the trailer in the Fall, they have some wheat like plants and blue flowers. I think this really adds to the seasons of Anima Crossing with seaonal plants (besides bushes that bloom in a ceartain season).

So those are my thoughts on the New ACNH plants an trees, and I am wondering, what are your thoughts on them?

I really love them, actually! I think the flower thing is so neat and will definitely make gardens much neater and easier to maintain! I think the texture of the flowers look really nice so far and I'm excited to see some more kinds. I think the tree thing is alright and won't stop us from being able to plant saplings or anything, but I'm wondering how the "energy" stuff is going to work. I also really love the new weeds and stuff lol, I'm not gonna wanna pick any because they're so pretty!!

I didn't like the way the flowers left something behind.

I didn't see any new tree types and only saw a single bush.

Fruit still looks like it's been pinned to the tree and not hanging naturally.

I don't like how you can dig a tree up. It isn't how trees work. o_O

I did like how they move in the wind.
That looked more natural than in previous games.

I noticed one different type of flower.

I was really hoping for huge sunflowers.

i don't understand the whole "digging up a whole tree is unrealistic" argument when you can shake a tree and have a couch fall out and then just pack said couch in your back pocket.

not to mention you're hanging around a bunch of talking, shirt-wearing animals.

I know, but talking animals who live in houses and ask for furniture is taking a huge imaginatory leap too. ^_^

The trees are part of nature, and sure, furniture doesn't fall from them, but you'd think after almost two decades they could attach the fruit a little better.

We've always had to cut down trees, as that's how it's done. Digging them up just adds to the absurdity.

Some things should be kept as natural as possible.

the way the fruit are displayed currently makes them easy to identify, i'm fine with it.

imo if you want realism it has to be applied to everything. trees don't come down after three swings of an axe. stumps generally aren't perfect circles, and definitely don't leave heart/citrus/triforce patterns behind. digging up a bush doesn't leave a perfect circle on the ground. using a gold watering can won't change the colours of your roses. bags of money won't grow on a tree if you bury 10 thousand dollars. you can't disintegrate a rock to nothing with one hit of a shovel.

i'm strongly against the idea that anything in video games needs to be as realistic as possible unless it already takes up the majority if not the entire game. otherwise, in cases like animal crossing, not only does it take away creativity and stylistic choices but it also gets in the way of convenience. landscaping your town is something many people loved in new leaf, and digging up a whole tree makes the process much easier for the player. plus you don't have to worry about your axe breaking if you don't have the golden one yet.

I didn't want realism in everything, if I did, there would be no playable games, but in some things, it's nice to keep them as close to the Animal Crossing style as possible.

Digging up trees, IMO, is drifting too far from how things have always been done in this series.

Again, just MOO. ^_^

I think the replanting is a nice quality of life change for players with long term towns. Also, is not the feature optional? I would imagine you could chop down trees and replant them at your own digression. I cannot remember if you can replant picked flowers however. That would be quite nice if so! As for new fruits, I would love berry variants for the bushes.

So far, I have nothing to complain about. Actually, the way it is with the trees and flowers here in this game now is more enjoyable for me than in the previous games. Like if I can now dig up a whole tree and replace it way easier that way instead of cut it down completely and wasting tons of saplings just to replace everything then I welcome this change. Besides, the fruits and flowers have a nice look in my opinion.

There is still very little to judge from. I'm not able to say yet from what we have seen. The fact that we can plant trees close to the edge of a cliff, the sea, the river or a building is a great start. I also like what we have seen from tulips, pansies, the new variety of flowers, and the one bush variety we have seen. It's quite early to judge, though.

Wait, hold up. When you pick up a flower, it doesn’t pick up the whole flower?

It just picks the buds of the flower leaving the roots intact, i believe it’s so you can make the flower crown item, and honestly ATM this is why I want more info on how certain mechanics work and why I’m on the fence not purchasing it yet, like, can we still chop trees to make stumps? Or has that been replaced with the fact you can relocate them, same with flowers... can we pick them up or are they permanently on the ground where you place them (this was a thing in ac:GC)

(and me wanting cloud saves)

Ohhh that makes so much sense, thanks very much! And I agree with wanting more info, there’s so much i also want to find out. I completely understand where you’re coming from, I really hoped we would get cloud saves ):

I think it's so neat tbh. The graphics are so much better and more crisp. Looking forward to seeing more of them!

I love the new features. We'll more than likely have growing trees back as a feature (which is nice as I like to watch as they grow a little each day).

Being able to move trees around quicker is a huge plus for someone like me that likes to redecorate their entire town every so often. I feel it's also very necessary in this game, given furniture is placed outdoors, too. I'm definitely going to be going all out for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. outdoor decor in my town, and being able to move trees quickly is going to be very helpful.

Aside from that, everything just looks very beautiful in the game. I love the taller cedar trees, especially.

I think every feature they've added is really awesome! Especially since you don't HAVE to use them all. If you prefer to chop trees down and plant new ones then you don't have to shovel them out of the ground at all, but if you like the ease of just relocating the tree then it's there!
And picking the flower bulbs instead of losing an entire plant is nice too. I'm hoping they may be able to be used to produce new seeds, that would be nice.
Overall I'm excited at how much easier landscaping will be, I think it will help decrease the need to reset the entire island like how everyone was constantly resetting in New leaf to change up certain houses or areas. I mean you can even choose where villagers love now and I'm assuming get to choose where shops go too!

All these options are things you don't technically need to do at all. You can leave the flowers be or allow villagers to plop down wherever, you just have more options available!

I mean, sometimes you?ve gotta try new things out of your comfort zone, and New Horizons look like it?s doing just that. I was blown away by how you can dig up an entire tree and relocate it in a new spot. I?m just worried about the crafting, as I feel like there could be a big emphasis on having to use it constantly. Other than that, I welcome all the new stuff showcased so far.

The way flowers leave behind their stalk could be useful and nice, but I do need a way to fully move them.
I think the trees look nice.
The digging up tree thing is kinda weird, but I don't really mind it.

I don't particularly like the idea of digging up and moving entire trees through Popeye-like powers either, but, whatever, I'll take it, that alone doesn't kill the game for me. Talking animals is wierd enough.

I really like the addition of harsh winds and swaying trees, hopefully it's not a very rare occurrence or trailer-exclusive feature. I haven't seen all the plants available for New Horizons, but I do like the wheat plants (if that's what they are), since I usually go for a country/rpg themed town.

I don?t mind the moving trees thing. Like a lot of other people have said, the game isn?t about being realistic and that?s a big convenience thing to add for the people who like to landscape.

I?m excited for the flowers, maybe you just pick the bulb and then the flower either grows back from the stem? That would make things way easier. I?m assuming we can just dig up the flowers like the trees if we want the whole thing.
