Hiyaa, I was wondering if anyone had any drawing tips for traditional art? Maybe something on...like...inking / lining and coloruing.... or something

If not then...nvm xD

If you would leave a reference of your art, that would be helpful :)

id say use stronger paper thatd b able to handle all the marker.
also, the box she is holding is kind of crooked.
the things thatve helped me the most with my art is keeping a sketchbook, drawing realistic stuff as practice and not conforming to just one style.

the colouring is amazing !!!!!!

Yeah the coloring looks really nice, as well as the over all. I also recommend working on the hands. A lot of people have problem with drawing hands, and you have references of your own so that'd be an improvement to make.

The line on the left is when you draw multiple little lines to form a single line. This is a typical and BAD habit that amateur artists make. This is mainly due to not having enough confidence in drawing lines in a single stroke. Ideally, you want your lines to look like the one on the right. This is accomplished by a single stroke. If that's what you mean by lines, then just work on that.

I absolutely agree drawing on stronger paper would be better suited for you. The coloring is awesome! You've got shadows and highlights really well. Maybe go for highlights a tiny bit more to create a little more contrast? I think her hair could use a little more highlights to really bring out the color. I think the pose is very good too!

I do agree hands appear to be your weak point. I'm awful at drawing hands so I can relate. Maybe try with easy hand poses like fists to get used to drawing hands? I'm sorry for not having more help here.

As for the box, I think your solution is to use a ruler. It may be a pain to use a ruler but it makes a such a difference in drawing objects. I think I would try to draw the box before drawing the hands. idk if that'll be easier for you but it may be worth a shot.

Anyway, great job! :)

It's hard to give tips on shading and coloring when you're doing it exactly the same as the reference picture.

I wasn't intending for people to give me advice on that single piece lmao, I was just showing that one person haha xD
