basically, i don't have him in my island right now but i have him ready to move in (got his card). and from then i can tt so he pings me for a natural move out rather than being forced out by another amiibo

i saw in a thread that there might be a risk with trading in general now (not just amiibos cos of the patch they did to fix the amiibo glitch). definitely will have him move out naturally, but if you feel uncomfortable i won't be upset if you take up other offers of nmt instead
