Hey hey. I took a break from this game for a year and 4 months (long, ik) and started playing again over break. So, I'm back! I would love penpals or friends. I feel like I could come across as opinionated somewhat, so I apologize if I was rude before the forms. I just want to have fun now. I enjoy bulletin board drawings :>

Are you picking your island up from where you left off or have you restarted? Have you been enjoying the update?

I'm picking back up and just remodelling my island, not matter how long it takes. I also see the Nook Miles as achievements and want to complete everything at my own pace. I used to trade on Nookazon quite often, but now I don't want to be spoiled and just want to play peacefully.
The update is fantastic. I didn't get the DLC since there's too much for me to do normally anyways I love, love, love the food. It's all very detailed and the food selection is unexpected and beautiful imo. I love the different hairstyles as well. I'm sure people are enjoying the more inclusive options for curly/kinky hair as well I like the bangs very very much.
Also love how villagers can visit your house now. I haven't been attached to my villagers too much, but when Roald and Marshal came over, it gave me the warm fuzzies. I kind of want (some) new villagers now though to change things up. I ultimately don't worry about popularity now, and just get the ones I personally like, maybe Shino, or some cranky wolves like Chief? I like Roswell so much too! And I don't have a cranky villager at all rn, so I'm thinking Groucho

I love the new food recipes too! I am so glad there are so many new items in game (though I don't have most of them yet). There's definitely a lot for you to do, even without the DLC!
