Okay, so I just shook down my four beehives, but no bagworms are in the fruitless trees. Can they respawn in the trees I've already shook if I go into a building and come back out, or am I going to have to shake my fruit trees?

Bah. Okay, hopefully I can find one after shaking a few fruit trees. If I end up shaking too many, I can just TT the fruit back. I hate shaking those just in case a friend needs them or a villager asks for something specific. :(

Edit - Well...I shook every single tree in my town without any luck. Is it only available after 5 p.m.? I'm going by animalcrossingus's list that says it's out all day, but I feel like there had to have been at least one on one of my trees. If there isn't one in my town today, then I'm pretty dang irritated. I hate the bugs that require shaking trees (and digging holes: mole cricket).

Edit 2 - Okay, so the clock struck 5 p.m., and I managed to nab one. Time to TT my fruit back. -.-

Bagworms should be found all day. I'm not looking forward to searching for one. I'd rather not cover my town in fruit. There was a reason why Nintendo didn't let them spawn in fruit trees in previous games.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I was just really unlucky. Fruit's back though, and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise since Velma asked to leave as I was TTing. Heh.

Can't tell when best time to look for these is. Crickets everywhere at night, butterflies and dragonflies everywhere during the day ;_;

They can appear in the trees that you already shook. In fact, there's a better chance because the bees, money, and furniture will all be out of the picture.

I'm having the same problem with spiders lol. Katt asked for one and it took me AGES, but I still have to find another one for the museum... these sorta things seem to come up when you're not looking for them, I guess!

They can appear in non-fruit trees, both cedar and normal. I managed to find one in a non-fruit tree that wasn't a cedar. It just took a little while.

I wasn't looking for one when I got mine (actually I didn't know they were in trees): I found it in a non-fruit tree.

Eh, what I do is have one of every fruit in one part of my town (and one bamboo tree) that remain untouched for shaking so if I get a favor requested for one or if a friend needs one of the fruit, they are always available. After shaking one of them for a quest, I usually put whatever remaining ones I have under the tree until they grow back.

As for bagworms, I haven't even tried yet. Still got some time, so not in a hurry.

I found mine in a non-fruit tree. They should be like most other bugs, and respawn after a little bit, like the rock bugs.

Hooray for 2 hours of shaking trees without finding one. This is going to be fun. /sarcasm

I`ve been shaking trees for a really long time and I finally got one. It was in a fruit tree, a durian tree to be exact.

Quick add: It was at night, so not during the day before 5pm.

I haven't found one yet either but at least I finally caught my first bee in the process. And I love how the villagers take pity on me and give me medicne for my face lol.

I think its only uchi villagers that do this?

In other notes my town is going to be covered in fruit soon.

I got medicine from Bam, a jock, once :3 He doesn't do it every time, but he does sometimes.

Also, still can't find a bagworm lol.

I have one game current time and one I started in November. I only need two bugs. Have been unable to find one shaking all trees and watching villagers. However in November I catch easily in cedars just by swatting with net. Guess I'll just wait it out. Tired of bee stings and gathering fruit.
