they are back , but they seem a bit rare.

i've heard some people who has taken them three trips to the nook islands to find them , other say it has took them fifteen trips.

yeah they’re veryyyyy hard to find!! it took my brother 8 nook miles trips to find some, so i didn’t bother spending all those miles and decided to find someone to trade with on an animal crossing discord server! i got 3 bamboo shoots so those should spawn some more shoots and i’ll be covered! but yeah very hard to find.

Found them on my third trip, didn't even know you could find them there. Managed to dig four of them with me. ♡

definetly, my boyfriend got like 8 of them on a nook miles trip

I found them on my second trip! Got 5 bamboo shoots from it and dug up 4 bamboos for back home.
