Hey people! I need a new RPG, played ToS to death, and enjoyed it immensely.
So, I've been thinking about Baten Kaitos. It's a semi-oldish game for the gamecube. I remember wanting to get it, but got turned off slightly by the battle system. Does anyone have this game, or recommend anything, because I'm considering getting this game. The prequel is coming out, so it'll be cool like Star Wars, with the cause, then the resolution. What do you guys think?
I've never played it but it has always appealed to me... I also got turned off by the battle system, but looking at videos, it was a stupid assumption; the battle system resembles Paper Mario in actuality, NOT Yu-Gi-Oh!. However, I'm waiting for the prequel to get into the series...
I got turned off by that too...that's why I didn't buy it until Saturday. But it's actually quite fun!
Anyway, I finally got a copy new at my local Gamestop. What luck!
I'm enjoying it very much, I recommend it. There are some cons, though. The voice acting could be worse, but it's not too great either. If you really hate it, you can turn it off. And the cutscenes sometimes get a bit long....
But the graphics are great, the battles are fun, and the story, though it seems cliche at the beginning, has a very cool twist, (which I havn't quite gotten to yet).
2-Disc, much fun. I picked it up for $20. If you can find it, you'll enjoy it!
