Is there any benefit in keeping your TBT in the bank now that there's a daily interest of 0%?

Thanks in advance!

Sorta works like the vault in FR so it's not as easy to impulse spend, and maybe you want get as many messages bugging you about possibly exchanging them, the former may be useful to you but the latter is few and far between. So really, no, on paper, it's just like keeping it displayed on your profile.

I mean, I just use it to store money so I don't spend too much, lol.
Hah, I can see how that makes it easier not to splurge.

I see! Thank you very much for answering all my questions on here! :)

The benefit used to be the interest you would be able to collect, but it's currently disabled due to the misuse/abuse of collecting interest :c

I don't really get how there was misuse, but they didn't exactly tell people why the for rid of it. :p Im hoping it's back soon but

I don't think there's any direct benefit from having the TBT in the bank, but I like to store my TBT because I noticed editing posts takes a small amount of it.

Can someone please explain what "TBT" is?
I thought it stood for "the bell tree" and that's all?
(I'm kind of new and I don't get it (^-^;)

TBT/BTB are the bells you collect here on the forums. The easiest way to get them is from posting, but you can also take art commissions, sell in game items/bells/villagers or things from other games to get it. c:
You can see how much you have underneath your avatar where it says bells.

"Bells" on the forum is currency you get from posting that you can use to buy items from the forum shop or exchange with other players. You can see the amount of Bell Tree Bells you have underneath your avatar when you post.

Most people use the acronym TBT, although BTB is technically correct (Bell Tree Bells).

I don't believe that editing takes anything out of it. Only if you shorten the post will you lose bells from editing. The system uses another "Earn" of the new total followed by "Spend" of the amount of TBTB the original post was worth.

When you edit a post, it takes some but gives back the new total of your post. So if you edit your post and add a paragraph then you'd get more bells ut the bells from before taken away. :)

storing ur money in the bank wudnt prevent the "cost" anyway, ur bell count can go into the negative (i wud kno, i get fined bells for infractions all the time)
