I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for styluses and other tools for drawing on an ipad? The stylus I’m using is not got good for drawing at all and doesn’t last long.

The program that I’m currently using is ibis paint x. I’m probably going to stick with this for now since I’m not invested much in drawing right now, but I’m still interested in hearing recommendations in the event I decide to try going further with learning how to draw better.

Anything else you’d recommend getting for someone learning how to drawing digitally?

I’m asking since Christmas is coming up and I need to come up with my list soon. I was thinking a new stylus would be helpful.

Procreate is the best $10 or howevermuch it costs now that you could spend for drawing on there. It has no further purchases or anything, it’s super stable and great with autosaves, the tools are awesome and the company behind it are very pro-artist (no genAI crap).

Thanks so much! That is good to know :D. I’ll see if I can get that.

I second Procreate, it is amazing!! I had never done any digital art before I discovered Procreate.. I feel like it's way easy to learn compared to a lot of other art programs. I do 99.999% of my digital art on Procreate!

I don't have any recommendations for any styluses though, other than maybe look around for a secondhand Apple Pencil

Procreate is my favorite drawing app for ios and its worth buying. Idk if I should say this is affordable or not for a stylus, but I heavily recommend an Apple Pencil for drawing; its 100% worth it.
