Best friend?

Do you know that feeling when you think that some one can be your best friend for life even though you meet them a couple days ago?

So there is this girl (I'm going to name her Sam) so Sam went to a different school and now she is in my school she knows one of my close friends so she sat with us at lunch yesterday. We immediately became close like she was my friend for a long time. She is like the friend I ever dreamed about. I found out a few things about her but I don't have her number or anything we just follow each other on Instagram. She has another really good friend because she posts pics with her and her bio says the other girls name. I want to become really good friends with her but I don't know that much about her and it might be weird that I'm asking all those questions. We are going for ice cream tomorrow with my other friend and we live close near each other but take different busses what do I do to make her my best friend or really close friend

Becoming best friends with someone is a very organic process. It ever happens or it doesn't, and there's nothing you can really do to make it happen or not happen. If you get on well and you speak to each other often, you will have to stand the test of time.

Only the once, and they ended up not being as great as I originally thought they were. We were only best friends for about 4 years, which isn't very long at all in the scheme of things. When I first met her I couldn't get over how similar we were. Similar sense of humour, similar views on things, we just bounced off each other with how similar our personalities were.
Turns out she wasn't quite the person I thought she was though and after 4 years of being really close friends we now hardly speak....
What a depressing ending to that story

Yeah, there are some people whose personalities you just click with instantly. I've met a few in my life.

No, I don't think it works that way unfortunately. It takes time but that's not a bad thing.

I do think you have the capability to become best friends with her, but you need to give it time. Sometimes people may seem wonderful at first, but the more you get to know them, you realise they are not the same person you thought they were. If you both seem to enjoy each other's company, then just hang out, spend time with each other, and see how it goes. I do agree, sometimes you can just meet someone you click with. This usually happened to me when I was younger. My best friend and I in primary school were inseparable, practically every teacher knew that. :')

I feel like the only reason I have a best friend is because we're next door neighbors and we met when we were both really young. We've been friends for 10 years.
I've never actually met anyone at school that I would consider my best friend. I don't have a lot of friends at school to begin with.

Just go with the flow.

I know from experience that people often act differently around strangers and acquaintances than people they know well. However that isn't always bad (nor is it always good)
Just give it time and see how it pans out, that's really all you can do.
