This method is so far the easiest and safest way to cycle a villager out. It's also been the most effective (for my town anyway). I highly recommend it!
So when I was first learning to cycle villagers out, I was told to TT a day ahead and talk to only the villagers I wanted to keep . If you're trying to move out a specific villager, talk to everybody except them. Now, this does not always work. Sometimes, a villager you have been talking to will ping you, just tell them not to move. If none of your desired villagers ping you to move out the first day then TT 1 day. Do the exact same thing. DO NOT TALK TO THE VILLAGER(S) YOU WANT TO MOVE OUT. If the villager(s) you want to move out hasn't pinged you on the 2nd day, TT 1 day ahead. Try talking to the villagers you want again. Now, it should have worked, but it doesn't always. There's actually only been one time that this process has not worked for me. Anyway, if the villager(s) you want to move out do not ping you on the third day, TT back to the original date you were on. This is really the only time you have to wait. Wait until the next day and then try the TT 3 day process again. Note that if you are trying to move out a specific villagers, it may take more time to move them out.

Soon you'll have space for your adorable dreamies!

please comment your experience with this method!!!

I sort of do it your way, but lazier.
I talk to the villagers I want to move ONCE (otherwise they won't move at all until you introduce yourself).
The villagers I want to keep, I talk to 2-3 times.

I just TT three days, run around town to see if I get pinged by one of the villagers I want out. :p

Didn't you already post this on the ACNL discussion board? .-. Just saying'

lol well yeah you gotta be introduced cx but make sure you dont TT 3 days all at once. It's gotta be day by day or you could miss a ping

Uhh.. talking actually doesn't matter. I never talk to any of the animals in my cycling town and they come and go just as fast. Once you start a day, often enough, a random villager will decide to move, exactly 5 days later they will move. If you don't want to keep any of your villager then just TT 5 days at a time and you will never miss a moving day. Whether they ping you or not doesn't matter, if you talk to them and they say they won't move, just close the game without saving and their moving day should still be the same.

Oh, stop it, you guys. You're making me look inexperienced and old with these new terms like "cycling". Come on, I can't be the only one who's so obsessed that they have to make new towns to get stuff done, right? I just play the game as is. Since GameCube.

yeah....so?

I'm just saying this is a method that works. Not that it's the best one.... There are many methods just like the one you explained.
