I'm just curious, what is everyone's favorite Star Wars Movie (including the backstories or Rogue One and Solo.) I personally like the Empire Strikes Back, followed by Rogue One.

Probably Return of the Jedi, followed by Rogue One. I also know people didn’t like Han Solo too much, but I kind of liked it. It wasn’t boring, at least.

I'm a huge StarWars fan but I dislike the movies. I voted for revenge of the sith for one of the best choreographed sword fight in any movie to-date.

While I try to avoid cynicism about the series going downhill, Star Wars is one of the very few series where each film is literally worse than the previous one in my opinion.

- A New Hope is my favorite of the movies. Great way to end a movie.
- The Empire Strikes Back confused me at first since Luke didn’t finish his training. I also didn’t get to see too much about Hoth.
- Return of the Jedi is mostly boring, but at least it’s better than the prequels and sequels.
- The Phantom Menace may had Jar Jar Binks, but it also had Yoda’s “Fear is the path to the Dark Side” quote and the Duel of the Fates. I didn’t enjoy it as much as ROTJ, but it’s the best of both the prequels and Star Wars movies released after the Original Trilogy.
- Attack of the Clones was mostly boring.
- Revenge of the Sith was very sad. It is the worst of the prequels.
- I couldn’t enjoy The Force Awakens as much.
- The Last Jedi is even less enjoyable.
- I haven’t even seen The Rise of Skywalker.

i liked the prequels more dont @ me

esp. revenge of the sith, best saber fight ever between anakin and obi wan

Solo was trash. :p
The sequel trilogy as a whole was meh. It lacked some of the SW magic from the og trilogy and prequels. I think the Force Awakens brought us some nostalgia and its probably the best from the sequels tho.
As for my favorite.... i;d say the classic trilogy was the best.

Every single one except the movies done by Disney. They were- in my personal opinion- major disappointments and full-blow betrayals of the franchise. They did not feel like Star Wars for me whatsoever.

That aside, to answer the thread question, I would say Revenge of the Sith. It had such a great atmosphere and story completion- along with the epic battles and music. The whole transformation of the settings/characters really stood out. You felt emotion in that movie, despite the ever-looming bad acting of Hayden Christensen, lol. It was worth it for the ending.

I'd say the original 70s-80s movie. Probably cause I love Leia a lot and yeah I just like that older aesthetic and character "design" better(everything from costume to how they act etc.) so yeah ep 4-6 :]

Agree. I'm not gonna rant how bad Rey was made as a character buut yeah didn't like 7 at all so I kinda stopped caring.

I'm more of a star trek person but I've watched like 2 starwars movies and i enjoyed the force awakens the most.

Empire Strikes Back. I only really include the original trilogy as Star Wars movies anyway - the rest just suck.

I really enjoyed rogue one!! I especially liked chirrut and baze because of their bond with each other y'know? i just want to know more!!

i also have to say i had fun watching solo particularly the bits with lando and l3-37 (she is so sassy!!)

was too young to remember the earlier star wars movies from when i watched them as a kid and i never really had time to rewatch so i can't really talk about them that much huhu

I've learned to find some kind of charm in each of them, even the ones I didn't like so much.

My personal favorites are a New Hope and the Empire strikes back. I feel Star Wars was slowly declining around Return of the Jedi with the addition of Ewoks and a few other reasons I'd prefer not to go into detail about.

My first experience with Star Wars was with 1-3, which I thought were ok movies (nothing really special or particularly breathtaking but they were just ok), however, once I saw movies 4-6, my opinion changed and I understood why fans of the older movies didn't care for 1-3.

Later I learned about fan theories, which detailed how Jar Jar binks was meant to be a sith lord, originally, and I began to think how much better 1-3 could've been if Jar Jar Binks really was a villain instead, and all that time, was misleading every character with his fake, goofy personality. But, whatever - it is what it is.

(I haven't watched Solo so I can't say whether I liked it or disliked it. I just wasn't interested enough to give it a watch.)

I don't hate the Disney Star Wars sequels, but I still prefer the originals over it. Rouge one wasn't that bad, in my opinion. Rise of the Skywalker isn't either. Like 1-3 they're just 'ok'.

I'm not one who thinks the entire series is ruined because of a few 'bad', movies. I take what I like, and the rest I view as entertainment. I make my own head-cannon for the rest. (Anyway, they'll all probably be non-cannon in the future.)

My favorite is A New Hope, with Empire as a close second. I think they're both really solid movies. Return of the Jedi was also good but I wouldn't rate it as high as the two previous films.

The prequel movies aren't great but I don't hate them as much as some people do. I do like the Old Republic era though.

Not a huge fan of the Disney movies. I think I fell asleep during Rogue One as I remember the beginning and the ending, but I have no idea what happened in between.

Revenge of the Sith. It has everything. It's epic, dark and emotional.
I prefer prequels to the OT, although both trilogies are great.
Now, the Disney stuff... don't get me started. As a (now former, I guess) avid fan, I was disgusted with The Last Jedi. That was the end of my SW obsession. Leave SW to Lucas, Disney and Kathleen Kennedy are clueless.

Emperor Strikes Back

It's a fantastic story, the characters develop so well and I love how dark it is. Its refreshing and daring for a movie to end on such a depressing note but it made the victories of episode 6 even more rewarding.

Yeah and also the first battle is the best space battle Star Wars ever had.
