I've heard of a couple different methods to get villagers to move out: Ignoring them, talking to them way more than you talk to the other villagers, and "bullying" them (pitfall seeds, yelling at them through the megaphone, hitting them with the bug net, etc.)

So. . .which way is more effective? I've tried all three methods (some of them accidently; I've become good friends with villagers only to get them to move out) but I didn't collect any data so I'm not sure which one works the most? Also, I don't have any idea whether or not personality affects it.

Thanks for answering.

honestly, time travelling is your best shot
every few days the game will force a move-out
if you don't want to TT, i've heard talking to them ONCE and then ignoring them completely gets them out, not sure though
other than that, i'd say your best bet is just being friendly with them. bullying them seems to do nothing at all
