Giveaway Best way to give away popular villagers?

What is the best way to giveaway popular villagers in your opinion?

I'd like to just give them away, but I worry about people who have been looking for a very long time and weren't around to claim him. Is a raffle more fair? Or is selling him really the best way (and then just not take the bells) to find out who really wants him?

I'll be giving away Stitches (and eventually Julian when he asks)

Perhaps a raffle is best. I just worry that people who have been looking for weeks will get discouraged.

And Stitches is cute, but he's not a favorite for me and I know someone else will love him a lot more!

I'd have to agree with raffle as well everyone who has entered has an equal chancing of adopting whereas with giveaways, you choose the first person
