I'm looking for somewhere else to share my gameplay of Animal Crossing. I wasn't sure which way to go- Tumblr or Twitter. I know both of them are compatible with 3DS Image Share, which is fine. But from your experience which one is the better option?

I'd rather pick one or the other. I like only having 1-2 social media, and I already have Pinterest. :)

Thanks for any advice given in advance!

I never go on either, but there seems to be loads of AC posted on twitter.

Tumblr allows 10 images per post, Twitter only 4. I think Tumblr is better for niche content like that, but I'm not too familiar with fandom Twitter. I think neither website is great for ACNL content, but it's also been 6 years so it's pretty dead right now.

Twitter is probably better on the social aspect, like Tumblr just added group chats and it's not implemented well (like everyone can read group chats without being invited). But it's easier to be creative on Tumblr, you can make your blog look like this for example:

But like I said, I'm not too familiar with Twitter so I can't compare it properly. Another point for Tumblr in my eyes is that you can run multiple blogs under one account. Like you can have a general one for fun content and then when you see ACNL stuff on your homepage you can reblog it to your ACNL blog without having to switch accounts. But it's probably easier to find active people on Twitter, and people will have an easier time getting to your ACNL content on there.

Twitter for activity (maybe... I don't use twitter) but tumblr is better for blogging and the people on there are pretty good at blogging. It's kinda hard to start off blogging on tumblr but if you get reblogged by bigger accounts you can get a small following. The acnl tumblr community used to suck but over the years it got way better and the community is pretty nice (^ω^) and there's a lot of good resources on there for town building too

If you are looking for something more in-depth Tumblr is the way to go. Twitter has more text and image limitations, but it may be more active than Tumblr. Tumblr also has a lot of handy sorting and search features that make finding things pretty easy to find. You can also really customize the look of the blog as how a previous poster has mentioned.

Tumblr if you want a more laid-back experience. When I used Twitter, it was extremely toxic and many people craved arguments. But there is a lot more active content and users on Twitter!

Not gonna lie, Tumblr is hardcore dieing as a platform right now. Twitter has a decently active community as well so definitely Twitter over Tumblr
