Blogs unpopular here?

Hello everyone, I was just curious on people's stance with the blogs posted here. Is it just that nothing really interesting has been posted or is it just that blogs in general to the current users aren't that appealing?

It was more of a fad thing really. I think people express things fine and dandy on the forums themselves.

The blog feature just doesn't seem to be very popular.

The blog system was opened because people kept posting useless threads in Brewsters and the ongoing joke was when someone posted a blog type thread, someone would post 'The Blog Tree'. When we made the switch to vBulletin jer just decided to make a blog feature to cut down on useless threads.

It would be interesting albeit complicated to do if there was kind of a news-post somewhere when you first got to the site that showd some popular threads and blogs going on. That way people could be more aware just what is popular with the site atm.

P.S SockHead that GameBoy gif too much nostalgia =P I still own my clear purple one.

I still use the Blog Tree! (rarely but I post when I feel like what the post is going to be about is interesting)

Yeah, I'd give it about a month after NL is released and see if it's still dead before you get rid of it.

Hmm, I would like to use the blogs more often too, since I kinda just like writing but usually when I write blogs I do like it when others read it but... If people aren't attracted to it and there's hardly any activity or traffic then what's the point I guess? It's a nice feature too! But I agree with what the others said, some people might use it more when New Leaf is out, heck I might do myself too. :3

If the front page posted a preview of a useful blog posted (a tutorial, let's say) & furthermore, have a dedicated tally of the top 5 users w/ the most blogs, that would garner awareness in the community. Blogs aren't novels; I can see myself reading interesting points on AC culture via my cell/tablet/laptop.

Additionally, I don't know how the Bell system works- perhaps readers can leave Bells to an author of a snazzy blog.
