Brewster theory...

Fall/Winter would be the perfect time to implement Brewster. I can't see the code lines that contain 'cafe' to mean anything else. I really think there's no way they're not working on it. If they'll get finished in time is another question altogether hmmm m
Totally agree with you.

I would love to have Brewster come back.October really would be a great bribe for him to show up. I hope he has his own building. It would be great if they brought back the part time job. Hopefully it’s more then just coffee. I would love to be able to buy the sandwiches and soup the villagers walk around with.

He could also sell random gyroids each day. Would be an excellent way to introduce the Gyroids into New Horizons without ruining the whole, "Deserted Island" aspect of the game. Since, as far as we are aware... Wisp is the only ghost on the Island, there wasn't any other people on the Island before we got there, and as such no one died... so there would be no reason for Gyroids to randomly spawn on the island. So instead... Brewster, since he LOVES Gyroids, could sell five of them randomly to the player (like his stock of Gyroids rotates every day, so you gotta check back with him to see which ones he is selling).

That would be a great way to bring Gyroids back. I didn’t use them much in older games but with being able to freely place them anywhere I might use them more.

Since we'll likely see Turkey Day and Toy Day update in November, and Halloween was implemented with v1.11, I'm thinking September 30.

Got to be careful about this kind of thinking though because it can bring disappointment.

Yup better to go in with the bare minimum expectation and be pleasantly surprised if there is a good update or be indifferent/slightly disappointed if there's nothing. At least they can't give us a 'Shake those acorns' trailer this time lol.

I Agree , as much as I would love a Brewster update the chances of him showing up are still pretty low.

I feel fairly confident they're working on it and it's just a matter of time given the new coding about the cafe added in each of the last two datamines. Also, for what it's worth, the dataminers believe the cafe is going to be in the museum based on the specific coding used, so it doesn't seem like it will be a separate building.

As far as when, I'm not sure. I'm hopeful it will be this year after their tweet the other day. If they stick close to last year's update calendar, I think late September still makes the most sense even though it is strange they already added the Halloween items.

I would expect the November update to correlate with Turkey Day or the Thanksgiving season in general (maybe the long-rumored cooking DIYs and vegetables could play a part in Turkey Day this year?).

I'd love new farm foods and cooking!

Completely agree with you, im still hopeful that they are working on something more meaningful for the next update, not just seasonal objects ( which is another topic to discuss cause we need more objects variety to decorate and wall papers etc ) but something that will affect out daily gameplay all in-game year around and to further improve the immersion of the game and the way we interact with our villagers, daily activities and objects, or at least thats what im hoping.

Not only that, but! I see as a good sign that they are brining in this update consumable objects sucks as drinks and foods, like they are getting ready for Brewster 🤞🏼

I am thinking he will show up this fall or winter also from the datamine information and other clues. Fall/winter are the times that I think make most sense to add him, and I cannot imagine them waiting another whole year to add the cafe. Us having a drinkable item now (boba tea) gives me hope as well. It makes me think it's a way of introducing drinking to us to prepare for the beverages at the cafe coming soon.
I'm usually all about managing expectations when it comes to this game and not getting my hopes up but to me there are just too many things pointing to this cafe being added sometime soon.

Here's why I don't think the update will be in late October/November...

The mere fact that the Halloween event and new Halloween items were already accessible, as opposed to bringing it over on the next update, give me hopes that they have something else in store for the autumn update.

To the general public, the update ends in late September because that's what the press has released and advertised. Most players will be under the impression that an update will drop by then. All the new stuff weren't meant to be known. But thanks to datamine and time travelers, this was dug up. So Nintendo can't just announce the Halloween update and pretend like it's not there when the time comes.

Also, while the last Nook seasonal item in this update is on sale until November 20th (chitose ame), I seriously doubt they would wait that late for the next update. Ver1.10 and ver1.11 had over 80 days, the longest gap between two updates so far. If ver1.12/2.0 will drop on November, that's over 100 days. And Nintendo is fully aware that fans are getting really impatient now.

I mean this is Nintendo, so you never really know what they're thinking lol. But that they are aware and actually communicating implies they realize it's not sitting right with their customers anymore. I remember thinking how coffee would go well with a Autumn update. So while I still think it would go well on around September-Novermber I don't want to get burned again.

Also @Rosch Nintendo released a trailer on September of last year (calling it an update) and basically showed us what fish/bugs there were to catch and that we could now get pinecones. So that wasn't news for Southern hemisphere folks who did that during launch and it was already in game for anyone to TT anyway. So I honestly wouldn't put it past them to make a trailer with the Halloween stuff that they prematurely added in the update.

The cafe might be added to the museum which is what I’m hoping for anyway
Its exactly what I want so long as its not in an annoying to get to location, such as the back of the fossil section.

My island is fully designed.
It would be super annoying to have to find room for a new building to go down.

So for me, the museum would be perfect

I might be in the minority but I really despise the idea of going back to a museum cafeteria, I think it shines less that way, as if the cafeteria is just an add-on to the museum. I want it to be its own important thing with its own building like New Leaf, it brings so much life to have more buildings in your island. Otherwise, it just feels so hollow, i need a police station, the recycle shop, I need more buildings because it feels so empty in here with just ables and nooks.
