So after all this time I'm STILL working on my last three bugs 😔
- scarab beetle
- giraffe stag
- horned hercules

Anyone have tips? Tricks? Or am I just unlucky? 😂 😅

When the time is right (The time they are able to spawn), I run back and forth until I find one. It takes a lot of patience though as some have taken more an hour or more to spawn

It may be obvious, but there is a certain number of bugs that can exist at any given moment. If the spawn count is maxed, no new bugs will spawn until some start to despawn. While running back and forth, be sure to scare away any and all bugs you're not looking for, and play during the time when few bugs will spawn (like butterflies). If you're near a river, make sure to get rid of any waterbugs.

Thanks for the tips!! ^^ <3 I guess I gotta be more patient @-@

I strongly recommend going to a mystery island, potentially several. The spawn rates are generally much more kind. And if you follow the same tips @JKDOS provided, you will probably be able to find the bugs you are missing without too much fuss. You may even end up on the beetle island, which is the best!

Mystery island is a great place to go!
Also I find that if you let the screen on for 15min then looking i find rare bugs but that just be my game lol
Good luck!

Mystery island, as some people have already recommended! This is how I got the last few bugs I needed.

I also used a trick some people shared - chop down all the trees on the island except for a few, remove all the flowers (admittedly, this didn't help me much, butterflies still pestered me) and then use the trick above (scare away bugs you don't need).

I was following guides that show you what month, time and I wasn't get anything luck with some of them so I just end up going to mystery islands to help.

If you go to the island while butterflies can spawn, they will continue to spawn even after their time is up. You'll need to wait until they're gone and then return to a mystery island.

Just don't run TOO close to the trees! These bugs, especially the giraffe stag, are super skittish and if you run too close you're likely to scare them away, possibly before you even see them.

But, as others have said, Nook Miles islands are perfect. And removing spawn points is how I finally caught the giraffe stag, though it's a tad frustrating because regular tree bugs can appear on palm trees in this game, as opposed to just palm tree bugs. Still, it shouldn't take TOO horrendously long, you just need to be patient!
