Burying items question

We already know that naturally buried items disappear in a day, but what about items that we bury?
If I bury a hat, or furniture, how long will that item stay buried?

Nobody knows the answer to this question? I'd test and see myself, but it would take too long for me to do it as I'd have to go day by day in my town to keep my villagers from escaping from Lucifer's- I mean Lucky's clutches. ...yes... Lucky....

They last for a while. I do not know the determined time. Time capsules will last, and so will clothes. I *accidentally* opened up a time capsule before and buried the shirt anyway. It stayed there for a good week...Eventually I just picked it back up and sold it..
