Campsite Trouble

If this is in the wrong spot let me know. I'm new but I needed to find somewhere to ask about this

Ok so I've had the campsite for like 3 months now and after the initial villager moved in I haven't a single camper visit my campsite. Now I will admit I don't play every day and maybe I'm just so super unlucky that the handful of days I didn't play were the only days I had campers but I have the Amiibo card of one of my favorite villagers that I've been trying to invite to my campsite with no results. The first time I used it she said she'd love to but it'll be a little bit because she had to "pack her camping supplies". I gave it about a week and a half of checking in, no sign of her. So the other day I invite her again and she says she's "as good as already there" but it's been two days now and still nothing. Does anyone else have this problem because I couldn't find anything on Google that was helpful other than "that was a glitch but it was fixed like 7 months ago". Thanks in advance

For an amiibo villager, you need to ask them to move in three times before they actually agree to move to your island. You don’t need to wait to use your amiibo card. You can do it three straight days.

With your campsite, it’s probably just bad luck. I usually get 1 or 2 campsite visitors a month. So yeah, maybe the days you didn’t play were the ones you were supposed to have a visitor.

I know I need to ask them three times to move in but she hasn't even been to my island yet to ask. Do I have to invite her three times too before she even shows up? I've been on daily for about 4 days now since I last invited her and my campsite is still empty. If it was just the regular visitors I'd just chalk it up to bad luck but I haven't even seen my Amiibo villager yet after two invites

they don’t show up unless you scan the card. After you scan it, they will immediately be at the campsite you don’t have to wait a day. then you go talk to them and craft the item they request. Do this on 3 different days and then they will move in.
