Can some plz help me

I can't go to anyone's town and they can't come to mine. It worked fine a day before it started acting up then next day it stopped working then later in the day it stopped again and still same problem today not working at all. It says failed to connect to partners device. I have no idea how to fix this

does it give an error code ?
( if so, google what that means, and fix it in the way they described how to )

if not.
pull the plug on your internet for 30 second, plug it back in and try to connect to someones town.

if this doesn't help, try reconfigurating your 3ds's internet settings.

if this doesn't help.
delete the internet connection you have now with your 3ds to your router/modem.
re-install it and try again.

if this doesn't help, i don't know what's wrong.
( it could possibly be that rhe internet you're getting is to slow for your 3ds to run on )
