Can someone help with my qr reader?

So I don't know if this is the correct place to post this but since it's Animal Crossing related I'll just leave it here till I find out. But as of a few weeks now whenever I try to use my QR reader in the Able sisters to read QR codes I get this.



I don't know if the QR reader is broken already on my new 3ds xl or it's some fault with the system. Since I just tried it on my normal 3ds and it works fine. I'm just wondering if this has happened to anyone else, and if it has what have others done to fix this. Since this just really bums me out.

Looks like its an issue with the DS itself. Have you tried making sure the system is fully updated?
If not, I'd contact Nintendo or the place you bought it. Try just using the 3ds camera and see if there's any fault.

yeah that's definitely something wrong with your 3ds. you should test to see if it happens when using the camera function and if the problem still persists you should contact the manufacturer!

Do you have problems when you try to use the camera with other games? Does the lens of the camera look okay? I?d contact the seller for reparation or a new system. Good luck!

I'll see if there is an update, but the camera loads and works perfectly normal when I open the camera app and take photos.If an update doesn't fix it I'll make a call just sucks since it's only 3 months old.
