Can we still share patterns via QR codes?

The only way I'd see them bringing back QR codes is if they had AC:NH functionality within the Nintendo Switch Online app, and had it handle all of the scanning/sharing there.

I don't see a feature like this returning. Frankly, with clothes that are more "refined" I don't even know if we'll be able to create our own customized patterns (it made sense with NL graphics, not so much with NH graphics imo). Plus, we can create our own paths now, so there's no need for paths shared via QR codes. In any case, we'll find out in a little over two months!

Maybe we'll can share the designs with some code like the dream addresses, but it's just a possibility.

If patterns have higher resolutions (no confirmation but it would make sense), storing the actual data in QR codes starts to not be feasible. I expect there to be an online service for sharing patterns.

Well, the switch doesnt have a camera, so I doubt QR codes. But like a few other people have said - maybe the online app.

Or maybe it will be right in game! We could have an online catalogue somewhere where people can upload their designs. Who knows.

This makes me so sad (if true)! QR code designs was one of my favorite features

I really hope that if it happens, it's done like league cards in Pok?mon - everything has its own unique code and everyone can access it as long as they're connected to the internet. Even if normal patterns don't make sense anymore with whatever New Horizons has planned, we should still have access to usermade clothing.

It seems maybe a possibility for QR codes to return because there’s a flag that doesn’t seem to be of the ‘highest quality’ near Dodo Airlines’s dock in the September recap, but we really don’t know if that’s just for anything more then that.

if anything, it seems that we can still make patterns like we did in previous games. And even if we didn’t have a camera, almost everyone has a phone with one, so scanning won’t be a problem and it will possibly be done through the Nintendo Online app.

Switch doesn't have QR so probably not (unless done through the app), instead I think we'll able to upload/download patterns online. They'll probably have codes too so you can search up exactly the one you want
