Can We Talk About the Music for This Game??

Woooooowww, what a good soundtrack so far. It really is bringing me GC era AC music vibes. A friend of mine described it as a good mix of funky and awkward sounding and he's absolutely right. I love it. NL's music was good but didn't really capture that AC energy to me. Very piano based and not super spunky sounding at all. So glad they're going back to the older AC ost style with this game.​

i was surprised there weren't as many people talking about the music we heard throughout the direct because it sounded really really good! animal crossing has always had a unique blend of various musical styles that all somehow work together, from the hourly tracks to k. k. slider's beats to the little tunes that play when certain events happen like getting stung or paying off a loan.

then again everyone was freaking out over all the new scenes and announcements so i don't entirely blame them. regardless it sounds like this time around we'll be getting a nice soundtrack.

I absolutely agree! I love the music in NL, but having a bit more oomph to the music is definitely a good direction to go back in.

I guess I'm alone in that I really don't care for the music they used in the Direct. I don't know, it just really doesn't do anything for me.

I'm loving 4PM so much! I can't stop listening to it and want to remix it when I get the time.

I've said many times now but I really want the night music to be as chill, relaxing and sad as NL's/WW's because what we've heard so far is really upbeat (and presumably the day music). I would prefer not to have upbeat fast tunes for the night like GC did.

I don't trust the recreation themes, so I'll only judge based on the tracks from the Direct. Honestly, not very impressed. Outside of maybe 2-3 tracks, I'm not really feeling any of them. Obviously could change once I hear them more, but my first impression is average. Still like the WW soundtrack the most.
