the only reason I had this username is that I needed peaches in new leaf, now that I have them and don't play new leaf anymore in exchange for new horizons, I want to change it. is there any way I can?

Yeah, you can! You just need to buy the username change item from the shop, which costs 1200 TBT or 10 seashells (which you have).

You have to go to "configure" and enter your new username (in your inventory under shop). Just remember that it has to be a username that's not already taken. You can find that out by going to "members" at the top of the site and searching for it. If it doesn't come up with anything, it's free.

I'll quote a post from the Information Desk about this:

Hi! I believe you need to go to your inventory (where your collectibles are stored). Your username change will be listed in there, and next to it you click “Configure” and then it should ask you what you’d like to change your name to. I hope that works for you!

Yes you can but it will cost a certain amount TBT or Seashells to change it.
