Can you play a switch console without a tv at all

you can! if you’ve got a regular switch, you can always play in either docked or handheld mode! but if you have a switch lite, you won’t have to worry about a tv as the lite is a handheld console ;u;

I’ve had my switch since Breathe of the Wild came out and can count on no hands the amount of times I’ve used it with the tv lol. I still really enjoy it and have something like 1000 hours on my switch :)

I heard its really cool on the tv.. have u tried it?!

If you have a Pro Controller (or the Joycon dock that doubles as a controller) playing Switch on TV is great and my preferred way of playing, honestly. Portable mode is certainly better than nothing and definitely works when you're out of the house, but while they're not as technically impressive as the PS4, Xbone, and PC counterparts, all the games still look very good on large TV's.

I never play it on TV haha I actually forgot that you could do that! You could always opt for a switch lite, it would lower the price a fair bit :)

If you don't plan to play interactive games like Ring Fit and Just Dance (games that require you to move your entire body and difficult to play without a TV), then get the Switch Lite. You won't be needing a TV for it and it's also cheaper than the switch console :)

I never play on the TV I'm always in handheld. When I got the switch I was like wow I'm going to use this like my Playstation and play it on the TV but nope for some reason I just like handheld better :)

Can you play tbr switch console1 anywhe1re??? How doe1s that work?
As long as the battery has a charge, then it can be removed from the dock and played anywhere on the go. Bear in mind, you won't necessarily be able to use online features if you're out of range of whatever access point(s) you're connected to, but you won't be restricted otherwise. The touch screen on the Switch simply acts as the TV when you detach it from the charging dock. You can attach the Joycons to the side of the screen.
