Can you still gift eggs?

I know you can still buy the eggs from the shop but can you still gift the ones you've found? If so, how do you do that? Because I'd like to give mine away.

you could never gift currency eggs

collectible ones sans the golden all are giftable though

The egg currency has never been giftable. However, we had allowed the leftover currency to be converted into bells, though we have yet to announce if we will be doing this again this year.
