Can your character get a tan?

I remember on the GameCube version of Animal Crossing that when you stood out in the sun for a while, your character would get darker.

Especially when you ask Kapp'n to take you to the little island by using the GBA link on your GBA.

Does anyone know if this is true on the Wii version?

I believe it can. A friend of mine came to my town a couple days ago and he had gotten darker from visiting a friend's summer town.

I think it's the same for City Folk.

Jas0n has the ending of the tanning season on his season guide, but not the beginning.

tanning season on GC was june 25th - september something. you have to stay out in sun for like 30 minutes. in a copple days depending on how long you play you get a tan.

Your character DEFINATLY can get a tan ma character got a tan on the 21 of August. (Ireland version)

Yes, this also happened of the WW version. Yes, you can get a tan in Animal Crossing: City Folk. I've seen it on a few of my friends (I hacked a little tan; you can't get it until Summer anyways).

I hear there is a tanning season. I would assume this is what it refers to. I cant wait, I naturally have dark tanned skin and i think it will look sweet.

Also I wonder if you can burn? Forcing you to take medicine or something?
