can't delete a player character?

i wanted to get rid of one of my characters and i wasn't fully sure how to do this so i deleted the user off my switch

however i think i messed up because the character and their house are still on my island and i can't access it

have i missed something? is there a way to get rid of the house??
i time travelled and it's still there

On the title screen you need to go into the settings and then Nook will ask you some things. There you can delete the characters.

You also can delete characters with another account (aka your main). I never tried because I don't have additional characters but it should work.

You're not typically able to delete other players as the island rep, but maybe it will work now that the account associated with it has been deleted. Otherwise, you may need to recreate the Switch profile.

Next time, remember to start the game as the player you wish to remove and have Tom Nook delete the save data first before deleting the Switch profile.

Edit: Yep. I'm reminded it will work if the Switch profile was deleted first

I didn't know this was possible. I thought for sure you'd be stuck with that player on the island.
