I check almost nightly for Celeste and never seem to catch her. There's even an announced meteor shower on my island tonight, and still no sign of her! I've been running around like crazy to try to find her since all my favorite recipes are the star ones and I have almost none. Any tips?

I had issues with her during an announced visit and was googling it. Someone somewhere said she only appears after 7pm? I don't know if there is any truth in that but I can say she showed up after 8pm. I time travel so I was able to skip ahead. Someone also suggested saving and quitting and coming back in and her being somewhere else. I checked everywhere so I don't think I was just missing her.

She definitely only appears at night, I'm pretty sure 7 is when she arrives. And saving and quitting will often move her, but I personally have never had an issue finding her if she's there (...that I know of, I guess). Also, a meteor shower DOES NOT guarantee she will show up, just FYI.

Honestly, my best advice is to keep an eye on the "The Airport" forum on here, where people post when she's on their island. I wouldn't have nearly as many star DIYs as I do if I didn't get some from other people's islands.

I have similar issues. I don't have trouble finding Celeste when she is giving the zodiac diy, but I almost never find her other times. I'm still missing so many of the star diy's. It's very frustrating!

I farmed her this weekend. I make sure the time is 8 pm and check the whole island because she isn't in the same spot sometimes. She doesn't always come during a meteor shower and meteors don't always fall when she does show. I am not sure you are into the time traveling farming stuff though. I am not sure how many times a month she visits though. When I had my last island, I tend to find her only once or twice a month.

Same, I've been playing the game since launch and I still don't know how often she is supposed to visit. I wish they had just given her a dedicated night like KK, because apart from the recipes, I just enjoy having her on the island walking around.

Recently, I hadn't seen her for about a month (I didn't play every night, but I checked several nights). Then, I think I saw her something like twice in 10 days (technically two separate weeks).

Is it once a week? Once every two weeks? Random?

I've heard she shows up once a week, but I have not found that to be true on my island. I play one day at a time (sometimes several days in a row on a single day to catch up) and always check my entire island after 8pm. I always find her at least once for the zodiac diy. But if I can find her a second time per month I consider myself lucky.

She shows up once a week after 7 P.M. if there is a meteor shower that week. If there are multiple meteor showers in a week, she randomly shows up for one of them. She can show up during light or heavy meteor showers and doesn't prioritize the heavy showers, so if she isn't on your island during a heavy shower, it means she has shown up or will show up for another meteor shower in the same week.

Like others have said, she only shows up after 7PM. If the clock changes to 7 while you're playing, it might be a good idea to go into a building and come out or save and start the game again. This may be incorrect but from what I recall, she used to show up once per week however with the addition of new NPCs, during an update they changed the NPC rates. Now she will show up on a day you have shooting stars (light or heavy meteor showers, it doesn't matter). If there are 2 or more days with meteor showers, she'll pick one of them. There is a chance she won't show up at all. You can check out Ninji's Twitter, that's where I remember reading about it.

Yeah, it’s very difficult to tell whether or not she’s actually in your town. I think they should definitely implement an update adding functionality for Isabelle to announce who is visiting for the day.

Although I still want that update, in the meantime, you could use various communities online to coordinate with other players that have Celeste in their town. That’s pretty much what I’ve done to see her and get the space/astrology DIY’s.

Here's what we know from Ninji's data mine.

While it doesn't mention the time, it does seem to be true that Celeste doesn't arrive until 7pm, which is the earliest meteor showers start.

In my case, I have a different issue: I never seem to get announced meteor showers for some reason, only those like little random small meteor showers, but for the longest time Isabelle hasn't announced that there was going to be a meteor shower in my island. I don't really know why though, I don't know if that's normal either

Isabelle only announces heavy showers, and only if there are no other announcements that day (e.g. Camper, move in, move out, etc). A heavy shower will happen with or without her announcement though, so don't worry if something took precedence in her announcements.

Some weather seeds have had 12 or more months straight without any heavy showers. The weather seed for my second island shows 8 straight months in 2020 without a heavy shower. So bad luck is always a factor here.

Make sure you check EVERYWHERE. For a long time, I only checked beaches. Then I realized, by chance, that she likes to spawn at the highest cliff level. She has done this consistently for my town.
