I think it's considered mostly weird, but I prefer eating my cereal from a cup over a bowl. I don't eat cereal that often, since it's not very healthy and most cereals contain too much sugar to actually be considered a well-balanced "meal", but when I do, I find eating from a cup is a lot more convenient. Over here, it's considered tradition to consume cereal from a bowl, and I never understood the why or how it became the preferred method. For starters, you can carry a cup anywhere without the milk swishing all over the place, drinking any remaining milk is more convenient in a cup than a bowl, a cup doesn't tip over nearly as easily as a bowl does, and I feel the flavor is more concentrated - since the space is more compact and narrow than in a bowl--ultimately giving the cereal a better taste, in my opinion. So...am I the only member here who eats cereal from a cup?

I eat cereal from a bowl. Eating from a cup is fine, but it isn’t my preferred method of eating cereal. Now eating cereal from a shoe... hmm, I’ll have to think about that one.

I couldn't imagine starting my day without a healthy balanced breakfast cereal straight out of Waluigi's shoe :p

I rarely eat cereal, but when I do it is always in a bowl. I would think it'd be difficult to get the spoon in and out of the cup easily without spilling something. I feel like I would make a mess. The bowl is just more convenient for me. Plus, I don't drink the milk at the end.

I only have coffee in the morning, but when I did eat cereal it was from both cup and bowl.

I always eat my cereal in a bowl. I did try it once in a cup. I found that very convenient if I wanted to eat some cereal with milk as a snack.

Bowl, definitely. I'm a slow eater and the cereal I eat gets soggy quick, and I don't like eating soggy cereal. I feel like with a cup the cereal will get soggy much too quick for me.

I've never heard of eating cereal in a cup for breakfast-only for snack reasons.

I eat it in a bowl practically all the time anyway, regardless if it's breakfast or as a snack (and I almost never eat cereal as a snack anyway).

I don't eat cereal often, but when I do it's always with a bowl. I don't think I've ever had it from a cup before.

Both? I have seen cute glasses that can be used as a cup, where people can also use them as a bowl for yogurt or cereal. Most times you can fit a proper portion into it. I can barely tolerate the stuff so I would prefer the bare minimum.

I eat cereal with a bowl. But then again I drink water/juice/milk from a bowl anyway so cups and bowls aren’t that different to me lol. I also never eat cereal for breakfast it doesn’t feel filling enough //sweats
I like a big meal for breakfast lol

I don't often eat cereal, but when I do it's going to be in a bowl. Nothing against putting it in a cup, I've just never really had the inclination to do so. I can see the appeal of utilizing a cup instead of a bowl for people who eat their cereal with milk, but I personally don't like mixing my cereal and milk. I tend to eat the cereal dry, with a separate cup of milk to drink.

I used to only eat it from a bowl, now I always have it from a cup because it's easier with my busy mornings... I guess it comes down to convenience?

It depends on which cereals but I often use a cup, more convenient, it takes less place in the dishwasher.
Our bowls are too big and I always end up putting too much cereals, half a cup of cereals in a cup is just enough.

I use cups for soup and ice cream too. I use bowls for salad, rice and meals not needing to be cut like saut?s, stew, veggies.

i hate most cereal but when i have it i have it in a bowl
i never knew people ate cereal out of a cup

We don't have cups big enough to actually eat from them, so I only ever had cereal from bowls.

cup people are gonna have to explain some things here...

do you actually eat it with a spoon out of a cup or do you like, drink it?

also do you actually mean drinking cups/mugs or do you mean soup """cups""" that are basically just bowls that sometimes have handles?
