Rotate the D-Pad clockwise to hear secret character conversations. This works with Fox, Falco, and Wolf on Lylat Cruise. It also works with Snake on Shadow Moses Island.

Hm, I guess he means press each each direction of the D-Pad in a clockwise direction.

And you just need to press up, down, up, down on the D-Pad to activate these events, you don't need to worry about the right and left directions.
