I don't eat chicken so I can only judge the fries and they're icky. :c

I heard that the chief operating officer of the company made a bunch of really homophobic comments, and so as a gay vegetarian, it really has no appeal to me in any way.

I love it!

You're gay!?

...

You're a herbivore!?

I don't know if I'd call myself a herbivore, I'm an omnivore with certain foods I don't eat, TBH I still emotionally enjoy fried chicken but I can't bring myself to eat it. And I do eat a lot of stuff that isn't plants, like milk and eggs and stuff. And yeah, I'm pretty darn gay

I'm pretty sure they provided food for the families of the victims of the attack in Orlando. I've never heard of them saying anything homophobic...

You're right, the owner does have a negative view on the gay community but he doesn't let it interfere with his work. Everyone is allowed their own views, no matter how wrong they are. It's what they do with their opinions that matter. If he was homophobic, I bet you that he wouldn't have opened his doors that Sunday morning when the Orlando shooting happened. They are closed every Sunday and they NEVER open for anything. It proves that while he didn't condone their actions, he didn't blame them for getting attacked. (When you know all the other homophobic people that are VIOLENTLY with their opinions sided with the shooter and blamed the victims just because they were gay)

I don't really understand what you are trying to convince me of here? It kinda feels like you are trying to start an argument or getting mad at me but this thread is about why you do or don't eat at Chik-fil-A and I said why I don't.

I dislike homophobic people, and him doing that does not prove he isn't homophobic. The goal of any business is to make as much money as possible, and so if it gives them a better reputation, they will likely do it whether they are homophobic or not.

Everyone is allowed to have their own opinions, and my opinion is that I do not want to support a business that has homophobic people working in the higher-up positions.

All homophobia is violent homophobia, even if the individuals themselves don't use violence, they are validating an oppressive system that is violent if they do not actively speak against homophobia.

Anyways, after this I'm not gonna respond because I don't want this to escalate and get the thread closed.

This might just be one of the most biased things I've ever read. People should be entitled to their own opinions even if many others believe they're wrong. This thread is discussing how good the food is... not their opinions on irrelevant things that should really only matter to the government. Homosexuality is completely legal now, what more do they want? One company's opinion shouldn't matter this much to people. Hopefully this thread can get back on topic before its locked :/
