Clams missing from one side of island?

I don’t know if anyone else has this issue, but clams seem to only show up on 2 sides of my island, they never appear on one side of my island. Is that normal or is my island glitched?

Have you noticed if the side that don't spawn them change on other days? Like west shore yesterday, then southern shore today, etc.

Have you tried running the shoreline on that side back and forth and still no clams spawn? Maybe perhaps you have a lot of clutter (furniture, ground custom designs, palm trees, shells, flowers) that prevent them from spawning?

My island is the same way. Even from the very beginning I've noticed that they never spawn on the West side of my island.

This happens to me too, but only for the upper west side.

Funny I've never had that problem, now it is rare for them to spawn on my southern shore but it does happen every few days.
